Hair clip and ear plugs now required

We had never been to frontier Bar and it was pretty cool little dive type of place, we were excited to go there and see a show this past Friday. I would absolutely go there for a show again but maybe not on such a hot night. Mariachis del Inferno were fun to watch and I'd totally see them again if they were in town, a little rockabilly influence and I like that. Top Dead Center was a little too on the metal side for me, I'm not a HUGE metal fan but I must say they were bad ass and I can appreciate a good band in any genre. Those songs were fast and tight, sounds like they have played together for a long time to be so in sync like that. Ok ..... maybe I would go and see them again. haha! Flametrick Subs are always awesome to me! We were right up front but by the time they went on it was getting crowded and HOT! There was also a freaky looking dude sitting right in front of me on the floor with a reverse Mohawk who was in desperate need a of a shower, or deodorant, or both. Seriously, it got so bad at one point I could almost taste it, in my mouth. It was really hot in there so I think everyone probably got a little ripe. I’m sure some ladies can relate to this but sometimes when I’m at a hot show or in a club with a crappy air conditioner on a humid night you just get to the point where you wish you had a pair of scissors to chop off all your hair because it is sooooooooo hot sitting on your neck. Why do I always forget my hair clip? So by the time Michale Graves came on we were spent. Tired, hot, sweaty, dehydrated and ears shot like distorted speakers. I wish we could have stayed for the rest of his set but we bailed out about three songs in and headed to Star Seeds café for Migas and coffee. The following day my ears were still distorted! I am adding a hair clip and baggie of ear plugs to my designated concert purse this weekend. Maybe I’m just getting old! We still had a great time though! Happy Monday!

i went to frontier for the first time a few weeks ago for their birthday thing, that was a bit of a bust but i imagine they'd have a lot bigger crowd for graves.

Hair on the neck is something that my wife always complained about at shows. When I had really long hair, I didn't mind as much, since I could do the "spinning metal hair thingy of death": it somehow made it all worth it.
