Bucket List
For some time now I've had a bucket list. Not of life changing events or things of serious nature but of bands I want to see. At the top of my list is mother effing Neil Diamond. Yes, I'm serious! I wasn't to see him sooooo bad! I always assumed it would be in Vegas at some cheesy casino or something. HAHA! Does anyone else have a concert bucket list? Who is on it?

I'd love to see Prince too. I can imagine that he would be great.
I MUST SEE .... SOMEDAY: Star Fucking Hipsters, Die Antewood, Modest Mouse (though i have heard really mixed reviews about them live, so I'm skeptical. I would have a shit live performance ruin that band for me), Death Cab for Cutie (or better yet, if Postal Service did some crazy tour, I'd die) Peaches.
Pixies are awesome live, seen em a couple times too. ACL in like 2006 (when that fest was still fun) was a really great show

Ummmm i still havent seen PRIMUS! I have seen Les Claypol but not Primus...... well i take that back, i saw them for like five minutes at Rothbury in 2009, but i didn't know who they were at the time, and i was trippin a little too hard to stay n watch the show. I think he had on a scary pig mask at the time and it freaked me out

I LOVED Morphine! I used to see them all the time and never thought twice about until Sandman died. Then, all of a sudden, I realized just how special they were. That's one reason why I feel such pressure to continually see so many of my favorite bands: you never know what could happen to them. I had tickets to see Soundgarden on what ended up being their final tour (until the recent reunion) but gave them up to see Rush on the same day. My thinking was that Rush would call it a day at some point, whereas Soundgarden would continue for years. Over fifteen years later, Rush has never stopped and Soundgarden are barely getting back together. Life can be funny, sometimes.

Here is my list which includes bands that are still together and some that are not.
The Clash, Beastie Boys, The Cure, The Smiths (will be seeing Morrissey in late November so that is a piece), Daft Punk, Pixies, Nine Inch Nails, Misfits & Dead Kennedys back in the day, Morphine (why did you have to die Sandman), Holy Ghost!, Social D. just to name a few.

Those Darlins will actually be touring with The Old 97's on their "Too Far to Care" anniversary tour, so you just might get your chance. Prince is jaw-droppingly amazing live: he's like seven guitar players combined into one.

I saw the cure a few years back at Austin Music Hall. Great show but God how I hate that venue! It'always hot as balls in there! Unless your there for an old fogie show like Dr John or The Neville brothers ..... great shows but they are seated so there are less bodies in there raising the temperature. So if I go there to see a show it has to be someone special for sure! A couple of others on my Bucket List - Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears. I missed them the year they played ACL (was running late) and last year at FFF Fest I could not drag myself from Thee Oh Sees to make it in time. No regrets, Thee Oh Sees were so awesome and Black Joe Lewis is local so if they ever take a break from touring I'm going to see them for sure! I'd also really like to see Disturbed, Those Darlins, Richard Cheese, Prince, Bloc Party, Harry Connick Jr, and Morrissey. I had tickets so see him a one day festival event and he canceled. :( I'd also LOVE to see Janis Joplin and The Cramps but that's the kick the bucket list I guess?? haha!

The Cure are a great live band, Inky. I was able to catch them at Coachella, in '04, and they were fantastic. Finally got to hear "Just Like Heaven" live.

Of all the bands that are still around, i would have to say The Cure is on my music bucket list. I don't care what anyone thinks, i still lurves em, they were one of my fave bands growing up. I've tried so many times in the past to see em and just never had a chance

I've actually been lucky enough to cross several items off my concert bucket list over the couple decades. I've been able to see Tom Waits (twice), the Pixies, Jesus and Mary Chain, the Sex Pistols, Fugazi, Black Flag, Samhain (when they opened for Danzig years ago), Neil Young, the Grateful Dead (not a fan, really, but figured I should see them and I did, about a month or so before Jerry died), Pink Floyd (without Waters), the Eagles, Kraftwerk and Daft Punk.
At this point, about the only items still left on my concert bucket list would be My Bloody Valentine, the Smiths, Minor Threat, Danzig singing Misfits songs (his hilarious F3F performance doesn't count) and Neutral Milk Hotel. I'm probably missing a couple but I think that's about the bulk of 'em.
Who else is on your bucket list, Sierrain?
