fff 5 or 6

I can't really decide. FFF 5 was my first music festival ever, and it was amazing even though I was alone most of the time. fff 6 I came with a much larger crowd of 5 people and I had a blast but I feel pretty desensitized now. I went to my first sxsw this year as well. I'm starting to anticipate what to expect and it isn't all so bright and new. FFF 5 seemed pretty magical, FFF 6 was just a huge blast for me. What did I learn from FFF 6? Free beer makes you need to get more free beer in the middle of bands, and porta p lines are long. Liquor all the way. I had the right idea for fff 5 but I was only 20 then. As a 21 yr old I suppose I am digressing.

I was so busy and hungover I forgot to meet all of you online FFF'ers. Next year for sure.

I think FFF4 was prob my favorite one so far. I guess it's like with any major life moments that involve love of any kind, you never forget your first. Holding Tim's leg while he rocked out on the fence during the LSF show was magical. I had such a fantastic time it made me a lifer. Like Mista PP said even if you don't know most of the bands FFFF does such an amazing job at getting the awesomest of the awesome you're bound to leave with a new band tee and jamming some new tunes on the drive home.

@imperialguy I don't think we have a problem, I think we have found something amazing our own little treasure trove of memories our minds are unwilling to unload because we need those happy memories to tied us over until next November we are FFF.

FFF5 will always be bittersweet, seeing as how it was the last one at Waterloo. This year was still a blast, but I'll always remember FFF4 for Street Dogs and Youth Brigade in the rain and Danzig in the mud. The fact that we remember all fests we've attended indicates we have a problem.

FFF3 was my first one (Bad Brains! Dead Milkmen!), and every year since I've bought my FFF tickets for all days, lineup unseen. For the number of bands I do end up knowing then the lineup is released, there's a lot of "new" bands for me to discover, which is AWESOME.

but i think i knew more of the bands going into it last year.
i spent both fests alone majority of the time, still fun tho.

FFF5 was my favorite. FFF6 was a blast, though.
