Sushi was awesome! Chef Lin was fabulous and made a great little appetizer that was some sort of tartare with salmon, white tuna, and tuna with supporting roles from cucumber, spicy mayo, avocado, jalepeno... served with delicious taro chips. Then he broke the night into little segments, first teaching us about hand rolls. Everyone got to make at least one; they could make more if they wanted. After that he taught everyone how to prepare and serve nigiri and sashimi. The final step was teaching the sushi rolls - - Not sure if everyone tried this step, but it was great and I had fun. I made a crunchy salmon/spicy krab cucumber with eel sauce. Then I probably ate my weight in sashimi and the tartare. We had a great time and tomorrow I might get to be an extra... That's all I'm saying for right now - I don't want to jinx it.
