Cleveland, Ohio
I just spent 4 days in Cleveland visiting my older brother.
Holy shit, that city should be called Beer Town USA. There are tons and tons of fantastic beer from all around the world. I was completely overwhelmed and drunk. Also tons of great food.
I was sad to hear that they don't have their own music festival which is lame and kind of surprising considering that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is there. My brother said that they have concerts for the induction ceremonies. Red Hot Chili Peppers played the last one, but who cares?
Cleveland was much more fun and progressive than I expected it to be. My brother is vegetarian and his girlfriend is vegan and we went out to eat all the time without a shortage a menu items for them. I picked up their weekly vegetables from this place called Fresh Forks. It is also a beautiful place. All of the buildings are so old and have so much character. Very different from all of the modern high rises of Austin. We saw the Cleveland Orchestra play some Mozart pieces on the lawn at Blossom Stadium. Their orchestra is phenomenal.
If you have the chance, go visit. It isn't terribly expensive and there is so much to do and soooo much beer to drink.
