"To say that a thing exists...
is not to say that it is actually being perceived."
I just spent the better part of two hours trying to find my tickets for the Dead Can Dance and Grimes shows later this fall. It was one of the situations where I know I had put them away in a place where I wouldn't forget where they were; but of course, I forgot where that place was.
So, there I was going through my desk, through drawers, dvd shelves, and the closet. I started rifling through my bookshelf until I came across the philosophy book, "Language Truth and Logic" by Alfred Jules Ayer and there sandwiched between pages 94 and 95 were my concert tickets. Why I chose to place them in that specific book, I don't think I will ever know, but for awhile there, to paraphrase Mugatu, I felt like I had taken crazy pills.

Thanks, Phillip, I was getting ready to bite the bullet and buy another ticket for Dead Can Dance. Since the tickets are already sold out, I knew it wasn't going to be a pretty experience.
