The Band-to-Beat...?
Let me be up front and say that I'm a pretty committed Orange-Stager. That being said I'm up for roving...
So, who do you guys think will put on the best show this weekend? I'm a longtime Okkervil fan and really dig the new album. I also have a soft spot for Clap Your Hands. I'm not too familiar with M83 but their new one is really solid (and I kinda think they may be this year's band-to-beat). I also expect good shows from Girls and Future Islands (plus most of the other Orange Stage bands) Eventhough I'm not a huge fan of either band I am reluctant to go to my grave not having seen Slayer or Public Enemy (both with huge skate-cred) especially given the chance to see both on the same weekend!
Anyway, what are your guy's thoughts?

I agree about M83 being "the band to beat." The new album is incredibly solid and should translate to an amazing live show. Plus, depending on their stage show and visual presentation, they might have the most awe-inspiring "look," as well.

I'm really really excited for M83. I'm also a very dedicated orange stager, but I would love to see Neon Indian. And possibly Odd Future, although they're unfortunately at the same time as Blonde Redhead.
Okkervil River and Clap Your Hands are also bands I'm looking forward to.
