Pretty incredibly bummed today
So a position in my company I applied for, I got turned down for. Pretty bummed about it, would have been a great career move. Pretty depressing way to start my week, but on the bright side, it would have had me move to California, and miss FFF Fest. So, at the very least, my PiP tickets will not go to waste.
I recently read that, due to the burn ban, they're banning smoking from ACL. Now while this makes total sense to me, in that they don't want a wildfire to start at a music fest, I find it pretty lame it's banned altogether. I would hope that, should something like this happen for FFF, they at least have designated smoking areas. Because I can only imagine the hostility and violence that could occur during such a alcohol-consuming event, if cigarettes are restricted. I know I can't be very civil without my smokes over prolonged periods of time... and I know that's not just me.

Well, I read that they're going to first tell you to put it out, then they'll ask you to leave if they catch you doing it again (how realistic will that be though), and if you don't they'll get the cops to give you a trespassing citation. if i were going i'd totally just say fuck it and smoke too, but i would be pretty irate if i got a trespassing citation for a fest i paid good money for...

yeah, i've been pissed off about it all morning. if there was one thing that could make me consider not going, that would be it. they're gonna have a hard time enforcing this. i will surely be smoking. what a load of shit.
