Howdy! (Nifty word, right?) Ok, so as you may have read already, I'm a Musician in Austin,Tx. and I'm really big into music and networking with fellow musicians. So i just got back from a "camp" called "Summer Studio" and what it is, is Ai (The Art Institute of Austin) but all bunched up into a week to where you barely scratch the surface of what the school is about. I went for Audio Production and I had such a blast learning and mastering songs on Pro Tools. And the atmosphere is so warm, so many nice people. By the end of the week I wound up being awarded a $1000 scholarship to the school! So what I want to know is, how many of ya'll use Pro Tools? and if you don't use Pro Tools, What do you use?

Thats what they've told me, that most places, if not all, use pro tools. I find it very fun to use, as well as easy for the most part.

And yes, Ai does this week long program to see if you like the school, the programs, and if your already planning on goin to school there, you can attend the program to meet your fellow Classmates early.

A few new friends of mine and I recorded a commercial for Fun Fun Fun Fest while we were there

In any studio situation I use pro tools, because thats mostly industry standard. When Im doing projects on my own I use Logic. Not as logical as Pro Tools but it gets the job done.

I didnt know they had a camp focused on anything like that... pretty neat.
