headliners
Since we weren't given set times yet, at least we can talk about our decisions for headliners. Many of us, I have noticed, have quite a diverse taste in music. While I know many of you are all about the black stage, I, personally, am more orange and blue. I like to laugh, but I'm just not super into comedy acts, so yellow stage doesn't really matter to me.
Anyways, let's talk headliners:
Friday-
Orange Stage = The Pashy Pitz
Black = Danzig Legacy
Blue = Public Enemy
Yellow = Reggie Watts
Saturday-
Orange = Spoon
Black = The Damned
Blue = Major Lazer
Yellow = Donald Glover
Sunday-
Orange = Blonde Redhead from how the days were split up, but from the flyer it looked like it would be Lykke Li sooo idk about this one but I do love me some Blonde Redhead
Black = Slayer
Blue = Odd Future
Yellow = Henry Rollins or Brian Posehn (again the way the days were split up it made it look like Henry Rollins bc he was at the top with the other headliners but the flyer makes it seem as though Brian Posehn would be the headliner)
My Choices are faily easy:
Friday: a semi-reluctant passion pit for lack of something I like better to see
Saturday: Spoon
Sunday: if Blonde Redhead is really the headliner I'll prob watch a couple of songs of theirs and then try to squeeze in some Odd Future esp if Frank Ocean is with them...mmm I looove frank ocean
what are your choices?
also, what is everyone doing for labor day weekend? celebration bitches! idk what we're celebrating really but shit I get a day off work and that's all that matters to me.

well I almost always enjoy the middle tier more than the headliners especially at stupid lame acl (stevie wonder, coldplay, kayne? *gag*) but since we aren't given set times yet, we can basically only discuss headliners for now. take it from someone who once "settled" for seeing passion pit at a fest- don't do it. if you like them, you'll be disappointed. if you don't like them or don't care, you'll be bored to tears. i'll probably go see public enemy or danzig that night, just cause i know it'll be more entertaining.
saturday, i'll prolly check out the damned first. if i'm not feelin it, i know spoon puts on a good show, so that'll work as a good backup :)
sunday, i guess slayer, just cause i've never seen them- but if brian pohsein is really headlining yellow, i'll see him instead. blonde redhead is good, but they come in 3rd in this game.
to be honest, it's the middle tier of the fest i'm really excited about, not the headliners at all. as long as the stage setup doesn't suck, this is going to be the best funfest everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Saturday is more of a tough decision. I am planning on seeing Donald Glover but I want to catch The Damned for a few songs.
Sunday is a toss up. I would like to see Blonde Redhead but think Slayer and Odd Future would be scene as well. I think this will be a gameday decision.
I have a feeling I will be living at Orange and Blue but there are some black yellow acts that I can't pass up.

@jlowe yea im sure spoon will play austin again SOMETIME, but i live 6 hrs away so i cant just catch any show in town :(
this fest is perfect for me because i can catch a little bit of all the awesome oldskool and newskool bands around since i can't always travel due to work and life obligations
@ayana i dunno i say go with Public Enemy, i mean, they arent getting any younger so who knows how often they will tour plus im sure Passion Pit will play austin or anywhere in texas soon
