I became a mom in June 2009 to a gorgeous saucer-eyed hellion and haven't had much time to play since. We trekked to last year's fest without baby in tow, but we're hoping this year, if all goes well,that we can take the little guy along.

Well, I haven't been to too many shows in the RGV. The last time I tried, I went a VFW in McAllen (like I used to do in my HS/college days in New Jersey) and I was the oldest guy not in any of the bands (and older than most of them as well). I felt like a creepy old man. On the other hand, the bar was pretty much open for me. Still, that was the last time. :)

I'm trying for a pair of normal weekend passes. I don't think it's going to happen but as it stands, most of my friends are poor and can't shell out the money soooo I figured I may as well try for points. I like seeing the little kids with huge headphones on. Last year there was a dad with his son on his shoulders, and every time he (the dad) finished a beer he would crush up the can and give it to his son, who would throw it at people in the mosh pit. Good family fun.
