I'm still walking on clouds! I teared up a little but I kept it together. Thom was dancing up a storm and Johnny was wearing a Texas shit. I know it's silly to get excited over something as common place as a tshirt. I got a really good spot. I got slightly right of the center and only one person between me and the stage/railing but she was either tired or really nice about my height and kinda leaned on the rail so I could see better. Only bummer about last night was my camera memory maxed out so I couldn't get the whole show on "tape." The stage it's self wasn't too big. I'd never been to a show at the Erwin center I always avoid those like the plague but this ga spot made it feel a little more cozy. I think I'm going to make this Saturday a lazy one and just youtube videos of the show from higher up spots. They were doing this awesome thing with the LED tv's. They had 12 of these giant tv things and each band member had a camera on them and the camera would zoom in and out and "concentrate" on say just the hand struming or the feet. It's hard to explain you just gotta see it! They had some really cool close ups of Thom's eyes, Colin got some really good facial close ups too. They might have not played "Talk Show Host" which was no surprise BUT they did play "Idioteque" which is probably my second favorite song. Other Lives was really fucking good. You should check them out if you haven't already, I tend to not be on the cutting edge per say of anything. They had a short 30 min set but i would've been more than okay with them playing a 45 or even an hour long set. I'll most def catch them next time they roll through.
