The Scavengettes
So I am just now getting around to blogging about the scavenger hunt from oct. 1, 2011. It was pretty rad, did some stuff I would rather not speak of again and some stuff I almost did and am not thankful shit didn't pan out. All in all it was a great time to be had by all even though losing when your super competitive is not always fun. :{ Started the day off at Homeslice to meet up with the rest of the team we put on our fancy new shirts and taked about eachothers cute outfits and stuffed our pie holes with pizza. Then we drove down to Red 7 and not gonna lie I felt super uncreative compared to everyone elses super badass costumes. I think my favorites were the team dressed up as unicorns, just because let's face it unicorns are like the shit. At four we were off! Things started out pretty good knocked some stuff out pretty quick but we had trouble getting the gowalla app so lost some point there. Let me just say I have never had such a hard time finding a cop, a pedi cab and a homeless person downtown EVER in my life as I did that day. The ONE day I needed all three and they were no where to be found. We had to make our way to the ARC to give out our sandwich, hug and bottle of water. Even though I got a face full of queso in a Target bathroom and a head full of honest tea in front of pretty much the whole group of people doing the scavenger hung, it was prob one of the coolest things I've done. I also want to give some shout outs to my fellow Scavengettes for being awesome. Candy Mountains kept moshing despite falling during the dumpster mosh. That little girl at Amy's for helping me get down from the big cow and telling me how cute my tutu was. Da Motha Ship for throwing down for the shots. Pumpkin Spice for keeping track of all of our crazy pics and making sure we looked good while doing it! Jugs O' Milf, for having a badass nickname and for hanging shit off her nose ring. Thanks ladies it was a blast, next year we take the win!

We couldn't find a cop or homeless person, either! Any other day and they are EVERYWHERE! We couldn't find the Honest Tea, too! We still won but there were definitely moments where it seemed like it wasn't going to be enough. Ah, sweet victory. Definitely going to do it, again, next year.

We scored and found the mobile loaves and fishes van down by the main library on guadalupe and knocked out 2/3 of the homeless photos there.

Crazy!!!! Usually you can't avoid running into at least 5 pedi cabs, cops or homeless people. WTF?
