The neighborhood I live in is flood prone. The water was on the verge of spilling over into my patio when the rain finally started to lighten up. The next street north of me looked like a water ride at Six Flags when I was walking home from my neighborhood bar on Saturday night [no car for me as well]. It wouldn't have surprised me to see a family of five pass by me in a hollowed out log.
We definitely needed the rain but Jeebus Mahoney that was a lot of rain at once. It rained non-stop up here for around 48 hours. I can't even remember the last time it rained constantly for that long.
