Outdoor ice skating here in Austin!!!
Shameless sort-of plug here. Yesterday I went by the new Austin Java Company that opened recently out next to the Oasis, and they are installing a small, outdoor ice skating rink in the middle of the new shops area that was built here a year or so ago. I've lived here in Austin all my 38 years, and never seen an outdoor rink here. It's kinda cool!!!! :) Should be ready for skating by Thanksgiving (a week from today!), they guy working on it told me.
BTW, if you head out there at lunch or dinner time, eat at Uncle Billy's BBQ (same owner as Austin Java Co) upstairs, they have very very very tasty microbrewed beer and decent BBQ. Much better overall experience than The Oasis, IMO.
Time for FFF7 yet?!?!?! NO?!?!?!? Fffffffuuuuuuu.......

Heh, cool, I think I've been in that Whole Foods once since it opened 10 or whatever years ago. Neat!
I think this one at the Oasis is just for the season.

There's an outdoor ice rink at the Whole Foods downtown every year around Christmas. It's just temporary though. They do it up on the deck area, above the store. Is this one just for the holidays or will it be permanent? That would be so awesome if it's permanent!
