hate jury duty! i get summoned at least twice a year wtf! Almost got selected to be a juror (most cases settle out of court before we're selected) but i told the panel that it was against my personal morals to judge people. I was surprised it worked and i got the hell outta there
There are several sure fire ways to get out of jury duty. Say you know the people involved (after you see them) or tell the lawyers you think any criminal deserves the death penalty or something crazy like that.
I didn't mind when I was selected for jury duty but I ended up knowing the people (merely by coincidence) and so I didn't get picked to stay.
I just wanted to see the court room in action and not have to go to work.

If you have kids, you can get out of it. But I don't recommend that as a strategy unless you already have the kids... :P
