Thanks for the kind words. My family will be ok. If my grandma passes away (she is 90), then that will have a much bigger effect on my family down here in Texas. Everything is celebrated at her house and what not. It would change the family dynamic.
Have fun in Chicago though. It will take your mind off things. It's an amazing city. I should know since I spent my first 18 years in the western suburbs of that great city before moving to Texas for school. Great food, great attractions, great place. Miss the pizza and hot dogs so much!

I really do appreciate the support and I know my family does as well. my dad is through the worst but now he's got the road to recovery (physical rehabilitation).
@Brent it really is hard when someone you're close to passes and I hope your family pulls together for support. when my grandmother passed, it was a frenzy.

Sorry to hear that. I hope he recovers from this. My uncle passed away last week from ALS. It's been hard on the family.
