Ladies' Choice Presents a Funhouse Farewell! with Golgothan Sunrise, Satya Sena, Power Skeleton, Bréag Naofa

Tonight is my last show at the Funhouse, pretty much my favorite venue in Seattle to work with & experience Times of Enjoyment. They're are closing, the building sold to developers who plan on making Seattle lamer by destroying a piece of our punk rock foundation to build condominiums that will no doubt be 47% full within a couple years, as if there aren't enough...
The bright side is I was given a Saturday night to go out with a bang, and I put together a great bill of locals: Golgothan Sunrise, the recently reactivated project of 1/2 of the band Lesbian, Optimistic Black Metal for Heads, Psychedelic Doom for the Initiated, and the first band that headlined a show for me (way back in the Summer of '004) - Power Skeleton, trippers that never plays the same song twice - Bréag Naofa, anti-religious post-hardcore/post-metal - BUT I'm most excited for San Francisco's SATYA SENA, a bass-drum duo that out-Lightning Bolts Lightning Bolt. Featuring The Atomic Bomb Audition's Jason Hoopes & Girth/Secret Chiefs 3 skinsman Peijman Kouretchian, Check out their bandcamp!: http://satyasena.bandcamp.com/
We'll miss you, Funhouse!!! Ready to create a few more hazy memories within their booze-soaked walls.

Sounds like Seattle and Austin have a lot in common w.r.t. development lately... :(
