Recent "controversy" aside, I'm taking my very excited Lady out to see Amanda Palmer & the Grand Theft Orchestra, and I couldn't be more excited to show her a good time. It's at the semi-recently re-opened Neptune Theater. I first went to the Neptune as a stoned teenager to see the abortion of a documentary "Kurt & Courtney". It shut down as a cinema a few years ago and was later re-established as a live music venue by the Seattle Theater Group, to be a smaller counterpart to their grandiose Paramount & the medium sized Moore. It's in the U-district - an area I tend to frequent less in my current years - so it should be fun to mix up the neighborhoods, get off Capitol Hill for the night. Too bad I don't know any bartenders in that area... or do I..?
