NRWS

Very excited to see Narrows again tonight at the Highline Bar in Seattle, I missed their last show as I was heading that day to Baltimore for Maryland Deathfest X (Dragged Into Sunlight, Godflesh & Brujeria being the highlights, not to mention Electric Wizard, so so worth it & so much effin' fun). Not to mention, tonight's show and the last one could have been my own productions, but there's always too many cooks in the kitchen (or not enough), but at least I don't have to "work" the show, just have a bl'ast.

Narrows is a NW/SoCal/UK band, so they're definitely worth catching if you ever get a chance - by the way, they'd be perfect for the Black Stage, in the future - comprised of members of Botch, These Arms Are Snakes, Unbroken, Some Girls, Makeout Boys, etc. They laid waste to stages across the West Coast before getting signed to Jacob Bannon of Converge (and his partner Tre)'s label Deathwish, Inc., and now they've annihilated stages all over the US, UK & EU.

Check out a great video for the song, 'Gypsy Kids' here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azZEK9x2H8o

ALSO! Check out the great opening bands for the show tonight (assuming that most of you don't live in Seattle, and will miss It)

Yeah, also EYEHATEGOD, Napalm Death, Saint Vitus, Agalloch, Confessor, Unsane, Today is the Day, Nasum, Rorschach, Ghoul, and so much more, just INSANE! (http://www.marylanddeathfest.com/history.html)

Check out Dragged Into Sunlight: http://draggedintosunlight.bandcamp.com/

Another part of the greatness of MDF is, even if I'm not going that year, all the great bands you've never heard of that are playing (I'm not particularly old school or "kvlt", myself), so I feel obliged to share my favorite ;)
