Oh, well...
I guess after last year's lineup, I expected to be totally blown away this year. I'm a little bummed that, in my mind, there's only 5% worth showing up for. Still, I'll be there supporting the cause in some way. I guess it's a good way to be exposed to new music.
Bands I'm excited about: (not that anyone really cares)
Devo, Mastadon, Suicidal T, Wavves, Valient Thorr, and maybe a handful more I can't remember.

I've found taking a couple evenings and checking out the myspace/facebook pages of the bands I don't know *really* is a great way to figure out who you want to see (and to be more excited about the lineup!). For last year's FFF, I "discovered" Death this way, and I was SO FREAKIN' BLOWN AWAY BY THEM that I literally shifted most of my FFF focus to making sure I saw *them* (and, prior to seeing them in the FFF lineup, I had never heard of them!). Likewise, I am really psyched to see ST, Devo, Mastadon, and a couple others, but I am looking forward to checking out the others "unknowns" (to me) in the lineup sometime before November...

Ah. I'm kinda feeling the opposite. Even though there were a couple of bands I really loved last year, all in all I thought it was a weaker lineup than previous years. I'm SO stoked about this year's lineup though.
