Youngest Band Ever To Play Fun Fun Fun Fest?
Now, this fact is completely unconfirmed but with a combined age of 40 years, the members of Residual Kid just might be the youngest band to grace a stage of Fun Fun Fun Fest. There's no kiddie-stage at Fun Fun Fun Fest, in fact Residual Kid will be playing the same stage as Refused, Wavves, Japandroids, The Sword, and more.
Saturday @ 11:50 a.m. Residual Kid take the Black Stage and set the pace for a day of rock.
The band is wrapping up a year which found them reformed into a trio with a refined sound, heavier and louder reflecting the influences of their heroes past and present. New material recorded with Grammy-nominated producer Chris "Frenchie" Smith, in the form of the recently released Faces EP showcases some of those sounds. A string of powerful shows sharing stages with Sixteen Deluxe, Ringo Deathstarr, The Boxing Lesson, and Blind Pets to name a few, and the scheduled Fun Fun Fun Fest 2012 performance, has Residual Kid looking to take 2013 by storm. The future is bright.
The band's good friends at Directed By Tony Stout captured their live performance during their EP release show recently at the ND, and have put together a three track video that the band is sharing with their fans. Performing "Pulling Through", "Lost Cause", and "Faces", Residual Kid demonstrates what makes them one of the most exciting live rock acts in Austin today. Stick around for the end...it's worth the wait.

Not bad... but I think Growingman could definitely teach them a thing or two:

Gotta be inspiring for other youthful musicians. That's pretty great.

That's pretty cool. There's a super young group of dudes rocking all around Austin. I thought this might have been them at first but I think their name is Eagle something.

I wonder who is the oldest band to play FFF.
Os Mutantes? X? Gwar?
Keith Morris + Bob Mould = older than all of those bands combined?
