Why do I not work at the drafthouse? I suppose it could be somewhat related to the fact that I haven't applied to work there but that's a minor detail. If I did work there, I would be able to be on the fringes for a sneak preview of avatar. AVATAR. i want to see it. Maybe i'm just buying into the hype but I still want to see it. And daybreakers. That doesn't come out for how many months and was shown here? I'm starting the job quest. Let's hope it ends with a job before I go completely broke.

It looks interesting to me and I agree with you regarding the technology. It was only a preview of 25minutes but the people I spoke to really seemed to like it.

I'm not entirely sold on "Avatar." Too many times these movies that are "years in the making/most expensive ever" are complete suckfests. But James Cameron is an innovative filmmaker. I appreciate that he creates whatever technology he needs for his movies [the helmets in "The Abyss"; the morphing effect in "T2: Judgement Day"]. I'm just concerned that in his years since making "Titanic" that he may have lost some of the magic. Yes, I know he's done some IMAX documentaries over the past few years, but it's not quite the same as creating an entire world from imagination. At least I don't think he's surrounded himself with "yes, sir!" fanboys like George Lucas did.
