Guitar Hero 5
I was at a friend's house and she and her husband had recently acquired said game in title. I really like the selection of songs but, randomly, in the mix, was an Elliot Smith song which I found odd. I don't remember exactly what the snippet about him or the song said but it did mention "after he passed away at age 34." I guess suicide doesn't sell to kiddies, does it? Still, lots of fun and finally, someone with two guitars so I can play bass.

I thought there was some doubt as to whether Smith's death was the result of suicide or murder. At least there weren't rumors going around that he died with his guitar in his hands as happened when Johnny Thunders died.
I can honestly say that I've never played "Guitar Hero" or "Rock Band" or any on the other instrument-related video games. It's not because I'm some kind of music elitists. I don't have any of the systems that those games are available for. Well, they do have a couple of "Guitar Hero" games for the Nintendo DS, but I don't think it's the same as having that plastic guitar controller.
I've seen kids playing the games at electronic stores. I would likely give it a shot if it weren't for the possibility of embarrassing myself in front of others. I still haven't gotten over the "Dance Dance Revolution" incident of 2003.

sure suicide sells, just not to the target audience of GH. I've yet to play the new one, any highlights to the song list other than elliot smith that suprised you?
