I don't know about you guys, but what I like to do is change the HQ on my iPod. What I also like to do is if the HQ choice is completely different from the genre of the band, I like to imagine that the band I'm listening to is playing in a club that specializes in the HQ that I chose. I always have my HQ on R&B since the bass comes out a bit more. And since I'm most likely listening to powerviolence and grindcore, I always imagine bands like Phobia and Capitalist Casualties playing in places that you normally hear R&B, like proms and romantic spots. It always makes my day when I imagine stupid shit like that, and I wonder if anyone else does that.

i sometimes think of things like that, but its not triggered by what my ipod eq is set to. sometimes, if i'm like at a bar or something, and a crappy cover band is playing i try to imagine the crowd reaction if like a hardcore punk band was playing instead. Or if a dance club what ppl would thing of some good ol grindcore. BTW my ipod eq is currently set to dance, and i don't change it since i usually just keep it on shuffle. Also Grindcore is killing my car speakers lol.
