early standouts to me are bare wires, cloud nothings, com truise, class actress, thee oh sees, motherfucking FEAR (fff '08 vets), the ettes, mind spiders, grace potter, soft metals...

anyone that's familiar with some of these more obscure bands, i'd love to hear your recommendation(s)!

p.s. here's a really mellow indie rock instrumental that i'm diggin by real estate- kinda reminds me of old broken social scene stuff. i think real estate is coming to town next week, just dunno if i'm going yet or not.

    Cool, thanks for the post, B!!!! I caught FEAR two years ago, I think, at Emo's as part of the So Cal Invasion tour (with Agent Orange and DOA, IIRC). Lee is getting on in years (as we all are), but they still knocked out a good set. Some other great bands on that list. Hopefully it'll be a good south-by!
