ahhhhh, another great funfest. the sound and stage setup was about as good as i could have hoped for. pip was pretty solid this time around, i guess i have the same gripes as everyone else when it comes to that ( frowny face for no beach towels, and some food vendors making you feel like a bum for trying to use your meal vouchers), but i did enjoy there being cushy furniture on the viewing decks. aftershows were fucking great, and i hope they keep that nites theme going in the future.

ty segall thursday night was a great way to kick it off... friday highlights for me were.... you know what, i'm having the hardest goddamn time remembering who i saw on what day. that must mean i had a bad ass time :D i guess i'll just list overall festival highlights for me(and some youtube videos i found!):

it was great running into so many people that i knew, and meeting all of you awesome funfest board peoples, some for the first time! it's pretty cool, yeah... let me see if i can recall.... realizing now what a blur the weekend really was. eli, slyd (motherfuckin slyd!), ramiro, andrea and her pal, ______, bonnie and her dude, ashley and her dude, phillip, mista pp, treygar, pint o salsa, mary- it was SUCH a pleasure to meet you / see you again / shake your hand / blaze / get drunk / spend some time and see some amazing live music with you. ugh now i feel like a dick cause i'm forgetting names.... but anyone i forgot, it's just cause my memory from the weekend isn't so solid. i'm a little disappointed that i didn't get to run into inkboy, or see bill again, but next time!

anyways, it's post-festival coming down time now. plus blah blah blah.... the bright side is, when i was going through my ton of work emails yesterday, there was actually one good one from transmission, saying i won two tickets to the sold out reptar and phantogram show tonight at the mohawk. i'm lucky in all the wrong things.
