Veggie Hot Dog Eating Contest
So, last year, I got recruited into the Veggie Hot Dog eating contest and for a brief moment, was declared the third place winner. But then it turned out somebody had managed to swallow one more of the little bastards than I did and I was bumped down to fourth place.

I don't think I'm going to do it again this year. Not being a vegetarian, I don't think I ever want to eat another one of those damn things. Or spend 3 hours afterwards, belching the taste back into my mouth. I'm fairly convinced that Snapcase's set helped ease my digestion.
That said, is anyone planning on entering it this year? If it's not taking place during anything I want to see, I'll come watch you soldier through it. I'll shout on your behalf. I'll offer words of encouragement. I could even be your manager ala Burgess Meredith in Rocky. Competitive eating is rough business. Do you want to be the champ?

The winner last year downed only 8 of them. I made it through 5 3/4. 3rd made 6 complete. I blame the MC for announcing there was no medical help on standby which made me laugh while trying to swallow.
Those things were not easy to chew though. Gas station hot dogs that have sat out all day chew easier than those did.
