I was checking my email on AOL (which was hot at the time) early Sunday morning. I go in my favorite chat rooms the DMX and Jay-Z. Everybody was talking about Aaliyah I’m like WTF stop with these false lies. I go in a different chat room the same EXACT convo was going on I was like OMG! I ran down stairs my mom was cooking breakfast I was like mommy mommy aaliyah died!!!! killed in a plane crash!!! She thought I was lying until we turned on the TV and that’s when it really hit me HARD that she was gone. I didn’t go to school the next day it was too much for me I stopped watching TV for a week I was shocked because I was a HUGE fan I had her posters and everything hanging up in my room I can’t believe that was 10 years ago! It’s still hard for me to listen to her music today we miss you Aaliyah!!
