BLOG SIXTY - HALLOWEEN!
After having an awesome day of digging out our Halloween relics from the attic and decorating our house, inside and out, I sat down with the kids and had a costume conference.
My oldest wants to be Spiderman for the third year in a row. I can't seem to convince him of anything else. No Venom, Dracula, Frankenstein or anything else otherworldly. Makes it easy on us and he's happy. That's what matters.
The young one is cracking me up with his choice. He has requested to either be Dee Schnider, of Twisted Sister, or the "yellow guy" in the group. This kid is OBSESSED with Twister Sister. So much so, that I ordered him "Still Hungry" for his birthday in two weeks and couldn't wait to open it because he begs to hear "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock" everyday. I told him the band sent it to him because they appreciated his fandom. It could be worse, right? It could be Barney, or Dora, but, no, my kid loves Twisted Sister.
This makes me realize I've put no thought into dressing up this year. Going to work on that.
