Caught the second show on my Parade of Flesh pass and this concert was also held at Bryan Street Tavern. I really love that place. It's intimate, got an amazing patio and friendly staff. Braveyoung put on some very interesting orchestrations to accompany their doom metal. The Body had so much power for a two piece. I enjoyed them tremendously. So much so, that I purchased a lovely little 45. It's nice to see bands hanging on to the vinyl dream. Cough took FOREVER to get on stage and I wasn't really feeling it 8 minutes into their first song, so I jetted back home.

Up next on the POF pass...Woodsman, Eyes Wings & Many Other Things, and Diamond Age. Look forward to checking out a new venue and getting acquainted with these bands.

Spent most of today romping around La Reunion TX and was able to pick my spot for the next Art Chicas event. I hope we manage to get everything done and stay poison ivy free. The stuff is growing rampantly out there. Make me itch just thinking about it.

Going to an Eventbrite soiree, tonight. Free booze, music and other things. All proceeds collected go to La Reunion TX and they will help the funding and building of a one-of-a-kind artists residency in West Oakcliff. I feel really lucky to be apart of this program for life and the arts. Can't wait to meet my apprentices!
