    Hm. Canon Rebel XTi is totally what i started out with. Great camera for beginning with. Easy to set and adjust blah blah blah. Nikon is completely backwards from Canon, or the other way around. I switched to Nikon because I was always happy with the outcome of a fellow photoger's work (he shot Nikon) so that's why I have my d300.
