The Corpse Flower

If you live in or near Houston, I'm sure that you've heard about it. The Museum of Natural Science is now open 24 hours a day until the flower blossoms and dies. We went out last night to see it and get a whiff of its renowned stench...regardless of the countless people saying that they smelled it and how horrible it is etc etc etc it didnt smell like anything. There wasn't a terrible odor, or a plesant one, simply didnt smell like anything. Fuck it- the tickets are cheap and they are good for an entire day incase it blooms we can still go back up without repaying until midnight tonight- I'm surprised they arent advertising that fact. Regardless of the underwhelming sight of the flower, being in the Museum at night was still plesant since the rest of the butterfly exhibit was still open. If you're going to venture into the crowds, check the website and see that it has bloomed first; it'll add to the experience.

Is it in a special, smell-containment room or are they just letting it stank it up all over the museum? I'm very jealous. I wish I could see it. :p
