SXSW?
After the extreme fun this past weekend I'm ready to head back to Austin for some more fun and music. One of my friends from down there suggested SXSW. I checked out wristband prices and it's crazy expensive. So my questions are, how do regular people go to this? Do you just wait and pay at the door of the different venues? Is it even worth checking out?

Lots of free parties all day and night. If it's an official showcase you want to get into, just get there early, they always sell single tickets at the door. I've seen Devo, Belle & Sebastian and Mogwai (all on the same bill with New Pornographers (!)), Flogging Molly and mc chris for a mere cover charge in recent years. Also, do a search for MessWithTexas Party. Some friends of the FFF people join forces with FFF and they've brought kick ass stuff like NOFX, Breeders, Monotonix, GWAR, Dead Milkmen and OFWGKTA to sx every spring. Cheers!
