I am confused why people said they didn't sound good live last year. The sound engineers got everything spot on, some of the songs sounded like they were being played from the cd onto the board. MGMT isn't a band that has much showmanship. I think they aim for that nonchalance which other people interpret as apathy.
soo..it appears that there is a little difference in opinion. Ive always heard they suck live..but was hoping that it wasnt true! Even though..id probably still check em..out....maybe if it was for free though..lol
When they were The Management, they were freaking awesome. Now when it comes to performing they've pretty much sold out and kind of suck. But, they are pretty fun guys to hang out with though.
They were great. They don't interact a ton with the crowd, which I think is the gripe most people have. Their playing was spot on and the setlist was great other than the fact that they didn't play Siberian Breaks.
no worries to miss them. they honestly had no heart. they didnt even play any of the beats on stage, just through the speakers with guitar and drums and keyboard on top. they had absolutely no stage performance except wearing strange clothes. they didnt play enough classics, which is fine, but I was pretty upset considering I practically camped out towards the front of the stage for 3 hours to have a good look with no water.
