Well, chalk this up in the "Things I Definitely Didn't Expect" category: just listened to the new Rolling Stones song and it kicks a pretty decent amount of ass. In fact, I'd wager that stands up pretty damn nicely in their overall catalog, certainly closer to a classic then they've written since the '90s or so. Here's a stream:

The thing is bold and brash, with a pretty hefty swinging back end and some nicely sneered lyrics from Jagger. The over-all feel is sort of apocalyptic, kind of a middle-ground between "Sympathy for the Devil" and "Jumping Jack Flash." This is one of, apparently, two new songs on their upcoming greatest hits set. Looks like I'll be forking over some coin on yet another Stones set!
