New Tomahawk Song!!
Fucking finally! Hot off the presses, I now present to you the first taste of Tomahawk's upcoming album, "Oddfellows." The tune is called "Stone Letter" and can be streamed here:

I figured this would be badass but I didn't realize it would be THIS badass! The escalating tension of the song reminds me of "Rape This Day," but there's plenty of cool new twists in here. In many ways, it's nowhere as angular as past Tomahawk tunes but there's still plenty of that aggro-Jesus Lizard vibe to be found here. "Stone Letter" is catchy as hell and seems like it could have the potential to blow up alt-rock radio (does that even exist anymore?). It's also absolutely amazing to have Trevor Dunn in the band: looks we're inching ever so slightly closer to a Mr. Bungle reunion!

Could not agree more, Jesse! I love anything Patton does but his melodic material is by far the stuff that's captured my heart. I really, really can't wait for the new album. Imagine how good "Stone Letter" is gonna sound at the Shores! I'm gonna have to get as close to the stage as I can for that performance!
