What's your dream lineup or wishlist for Fun Fun Fun? Let us know who they are and why!
My dream lineup consists of one mega-act.....me.
I will have my own stage and will just stand there for the whole world to marvel at. Tickets will obviously become much more expensive, but I feel it is worth it.
I would love to see the following bands at a festival, preferably at times where I can see each of them, naturally.
- Arcade Fire
-Stars
-Broken Social Scene
-St. Vincent
-Fleet Foxes
-Ween
-Of Montreal
-Tegan and Sara
-Faith No More
-Mastodon
-Dillinger Escape Plan
-DJ Tiesto
-Elysian Fields
-Crystal Castles
-MGMT
-Octopus Project
-Wilco
-Cursive
-Jenny Lewis
-The Cure
haha I think I covered a few things in that list....I chose these bands for a few reasons: They cover a lot of genres within the Indie spectrum, they are some of my absolute favorite bands, I have seen some before and know they put on incredible shows, and this would be a dream festival!!! There are lots of other bands I could name, if you want all 97 since that is how many are playing this year, just give me a day to think it over. :)
How awesome would a 13th Floor Elevators reunion be? Really awesome!!!
Shellac does not play festivals. Shellac rarely leaves Chicago, but dear Lord in Heaven
SHELLAC
maybe y'all can sweet talk Bob Weston since he will be here with Mission of Burma this year, tell him Veronica says hi.
also, lets resurrect Slint while we are at it, eh?
Oh, and as long as we are resurrecting, how about Unwound?
and The Jesus Lizard should play every year, but not at the festival, in my bedroom while I am, um, enjoying the company of my current paramour.
To list every band I would like to see wold take a thousand monkeys at a thousand typewriters a thousand years, but it would indeed fry your brain.
I would love to see:
.Jenny Owen Youngs
.The Kills
.The Virgins
.Fun
.The Weepies
.Weezer
Blur, Megadeth, Faith No More, Anthrax, Catherine Wheel, The Jesus & March Chain, Type O Negative
