Missing Ticket

I went through the same thing, but just this past week. Here's the email response I received (with ground ctrl's contact email):

Thank you for contacting ground(ctrl) support. All tickets for the Fun Fun Fun Fest will be available at willcall. All you will need to pick them up is a valid photo ID. We apologize for the confusion.

So all tickets will need to be picked up with ID, and I believe this was next to the entrance at last year's FFF (but I defer to someone who used willcall last year, as I had UPS deliver my tix last year).

I believe they didn't even offer PIP passes last year (at least I never saw them mentioned anywhere and the PIP "deck" area this year was open to everyone last year). In another FFF Forum thread, I saw someone mention that Waterloo (or other local place) had the FFF wristbands just before the festival and you could go get your wristband there so you didn't have to wait. Last year I walked up with the ticket UPS had delivered and got a wristband without waiting long at all and went on in. It'd be nice if they offer the willcall tickets and/or wristbands at least the day before. The current info on the FFF info page (under the Rules/FAQ tab) says "Box-office opens 9am all 3 days" and "Will call / box-office ticket pick up requires matching I.D.", so maybe they will have it open on Friday for early ticket/wristband pickup....?

One of my friends got his PIP passes mailed to him (yes, this year) because of that reason.....but he sold them on ebay (long story)

I would really love them mailed because if I get up there and they don't have 'em......I'll do something crazy.

Typically, after tickets for the event/festival go off-sale, we send the box office a giant big ass list of everyone's name along with what ticket type and how many. The box office then prints this list out and Checkpoint Charlie's your ass at the venue (hence, ID required.) Once you pass inspection, you are granted access. The reason we do this is: 1) We don't need to worry about shipping out thousands of tickets and 2) Scalpers can't get their hands on tickets to ass-rape others.

However, speaking with Matt, he has informed me that you *may* be able to pickup a physical ticket a few days before the festival. This is purely hearsay and I would not bank on it. I *would* bank on showing up early with photo ID. But the moment we find out if, where and when you can do early ticket pickup, we'll be sure to let you know.
