"Pro" Cameras
What is considered a "pro" camera? Is there a certain zoom length? Or are they any camera with a detachable lense? I'd love to use my SLR (with a normal point-and-shoot zoom range lense) but I'd hate to have to turn around once we get to the fest because of it.

Re: "Pro" Cameras
Generally they mean NO SLRs/DSLRs and/or cameras with interchangeable lenses and/or video cameras - hopefully someone from ground cntrl will weight in for sure.

Re: "Pro" Cameras
I emailed FFF last year asking them if my Rebel XSi was a "pro" camera. The reply said that it would be fine. When I got to the gates, I was denied.

RE: "Pro" Cameras
I had a similar issue last year with my pentax dslr. I was denied but saw many others like mine and way more "pro" that made it in. FFF needs to clarify this!!

Re:
although they are only rebels, they are dslr cameras, and considered pro . I believe only point and shoots are acceptable. The thing they don't clarify is with technology being the way it is some point and shoots have the capabilities of most dslr cameras. Pentax still makes a pretty good camera, I've seen a lot of pro pictures with pentax.. I believe the reason they are so strict on this is because publications and blogs pay more money so they can get press passes. If you get to use a good camera it takes the privilege out of being able to wield a press pass, also they face more complaint of naive fans who get their camera screwed up and want the festival to pay for their $2k camera.
