Bicycles
This is my first visit to FFFF. I'm staying downtown and renting a bicycle to get around. How abundant and secure is the bicycle parking at the venue? Do I need to bring a lock? I volunteered at the bike valet for my city's music festival (Sunfest in West Palm Beach) and we had a fenced in and manned area where the bikes were not locked up but super secure. I'm hoping for the same in Austin.

RE: Bicycles
From what I gathered from my ticket packet, they have abundant bicycle parking. Just remember a good lock!

Re: Bicycles
On years when we're not playing and being chauffeured around in the Transmission helicopter, we ride our bikes to this. Bring a lock-- there's plenty of bike rack space as well as street signs/fencing to stick your bike on. The racks last year had some lights and seemed to be well monitored, if only because they were in a relatively high traffic area.
Depending on where you're staying downtown, it might be a short enough walk across the 1st St bridge right into Auditorium Shores. -

I'm at the Hiton, which looks like it's plenty close, but a bike makes it even closer. Just don't wanna get ripped. I'm guessing Austin is a pretty bike friendly town. Or hoping anyway.

RE: Bicycles
There is plenty of bike parking by the will call box office. Bring a lock and get there early. Last year there were thousands of bikes. Thank you for choosing to bike to FFF7.

RE: Bicycles
Does anyone know where the bikes ended up that were removed from the racks? Trying to track mine down.
Thanks
