Electronic Cigarettes

For those of us who have quit smoking and want to bring our electronic cigarettes and batteries to the fest, are we going to get hassled at the gate? I'd hate to bring a 200 dollar device with me only to find out that the uninformed security is going to classify it as a drug device.

I hope that security will be educated enough to be able to distinguish between a drug delivery device and a personal nicotine vaporizer. What's the official ruling?
