Points? How to get 'em?

Hi, Maybe it's explained somewhere here, but I'm trying to figure out:
1) How do I get more points
2) What will I be able to do with those points

    @jrm12380 open your dashboard and click on your points, it will show you a menu how to unlock points.

    I'm thinking prizes are so much points because computer programmers have found ways around manually attaining points. Where is the link for a definitive way to get points anyway? Can points be pooled?

    Well, points roll over from year to year, so that may be another reason for the high point amounts. It encourages people to stay active on the site for extended periods of time. Just a thought, though.

    You can purchase whatever you'd like from the store. You just need the appropriate amount of points and it's yours! There are several products that are flying off the shelves and are very attainable.

    I think the points system is left ambiguous cause they dont want tons of people buying up all the special backstage prizes

    Update our point system! New ways to earn, more prizes actually worth the time it takes to earn points. What about contests at the fest to earn big points??

    I'm 13 away from the 50 friends=500 points award, if anyone wants to help me out ;)

    My goal is to exceed 1000 before the fest, shouldn't be hard, but what could I expect to buy with them? What were previous years awards?? Is this already explained somewhere..?

    last year I got a stanley flask and stainless steel water bottle. You could also buy unlimited beer or food and upgrade to PIP.
