Venue Stage Date Schedule

Though not a household name, musician, artist, puppeteer, and actor David Liebe Hart has been a cult personality in for decades. In 1988, he followed the guidance of his Sunday School teacher Jim Henson and began producing The Junior Christian Science Bible Lesson Program on public access television. Eventually the show caught the eye of Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, who cast Liebe Hart to sing his bizarre songs on their hit Cartoon Network show, Tim and Eric’s Awesome Show, Great Job!. David’s positive, stream of consciousness songs focus on the topics most important to him; beautiful women, famous actors, and his sincere belief in UFO’s. Now, David Liebe Hart has formed a punk band with frequent collaborator Adam Papagan. Though only active for a little more than a year, the band has performed at SXSW and CMJ, and shared the likes Thee Oh Sees, Joyce Manor, and The Thermals. Thanks to a recent Kickstarter campaign, Liebe Hart is set to record his first album in a recording studio this summer. To celebrate, his band is hitting the road to get the word out. David has taken the recognition he’s found so late in life in stride. When asked to describe his music, Liebe Hart responds simply, “Peace, love, and punk rock”.
