Founders Yadira Brown and Dwayne “D-Madness” Jackson first met and collaborated in early 2002, opening for the Hiphop Humpday set at the infamous Mercury on 6th Street in Austin, Texas and recording songs for his album, “Equinox”. After they parted ways, each explored their own musical path over the years to follow, opportunities sending them to opposite ends of the country. While Jackson had spent the last ten years honing his soulful, funky sound, playing all over the globe, thus continuing to increase his already impressive body of work, Brown had been collaborating with numerous established artists and producers, most recently joining Austin dance/pop favorites L.A.X as a main vocalist and songwriter. By the early summer months of 2011, the two were eager to write together again, and found their reunion fruitful.

This time around, their combined efforts have created something unique and familiar at the same time. Jackson lives, breathes and eats music, laying the foundation for Brown’s vocal prowess. Each brings a spectrum of influences and established styles that compliment and inspire the other’s. With support from musicians and vocalists already known for prior work with The D-Madness Project, L.A.X and hiphop duo Parking, 10YR’s live performance is complete.
